«Число людей, местоположение которых не установлено, возросло до 159», — сказала она.
Количество погибших возросло до четырех, уточнила глава округа. В настоящее время поисково-спасательная операция на месте обрушения продолжается.
После обрушения дома в штате Флорида был объявлен режим чрезвычайной ситуации. Президент США Джо Байден распорядился об оказании помощи штату на федеральном уровне, а также уполномочил Федеральное агентство по управлению в чрезвычайных ситуациях оказывать содействие при осуществлении необходимых чрезвычайных мер и мобилизовать по своему усмотрению оборудование и ресурсы, необходимые для смягчения последствий чрезвычайной ситуации.
Утром 24 июня в городе Серфсайд вблизи Майами обрушился 12-этажный жилой дом. Причины произошедшего на данный момент не уточняются. Ранее Даниэлла-Ливайн Кава заявляла, что расследование по данному происшествию продолжается.
