В Африке на границе Демократической Республики Конго и Руанды проснулся вулкан Ньирагонго — извержение началось 22 мая. Местные власти приняли решение эвакуировать жителей расположенного вблизи вулкана города Гома.
Несколько тысяч человек, спасаясь от извержения, пересекли границу Руанды, их размещают в школах и церквях.
