В Нью-Йорке на площади возле офиса Facebook на Манхэттене прошла акция против цензуры женских сосков в интернете. Во флешмобе, организованном американским фотографом-акционистом Спенсером Туником, приняли участие 125 обнаженных женщин и мужчин, пишет Dazed.
Люди стояли и лежали, прикрывшись фотографиями мужских сосков, которые не цензурируются в интернете. Фотографии с события являются частью акции #WeTheNipple, которая борется за равные права у фотографий мужских и женских сосков.

Участники и организаторы акции хотят, чтобы соцсети разрешили публиковать обнаженные снимки художникам и фотографам. «Если фейсбук и инстаграм хотят стать платформой для людей искусства, они должны убрать запрет на наготу, который вредит художникам, работающим с человеческим телом», — рассказали организаторы.
В начале декабря Facebook начал блокировать контент, связанный с сексом. В том числе удаляются изображения сексуализированных частей тела (например груди, паха, ягодиц), гигиенического состояния гениталий или ягодиц, изображения полового акта, даже если они были нарисованы от руки.
